Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Design Automation Engineer to lead CAD software engineering efforts for automated manufacturing systems. You will define specifications, assess architecture, and implement CAD software solutions across PLC, vision, robotics, and motion control domains.

You will support SOPs, qualification protocols, risk assessments, validation plans, and change controls, while providing day-to-day automation support in a 12-hour shift cycle (6PM–6AM) across bi-weekly rotations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD software engineering methods and routines for automated manufacturing.
• Assess architecture and hardware limitations; plan CAD software design projects.
• Provide support for PLCs, motion control, vision systems, robotics, and PC-controlled equipment.
• Develop design specifications and validation plans; participate in testing documentation and change controls.
