Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a freelance CAD engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents that work inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts alongside CFD engineers.

This remote, project-based role offers up to $69 per hour, 10–20 hours per week during active phases, with performance-based bonuses. A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, an active CAD licence, plus Python and GitHub

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Masters/PhD a plus.
• 5+ years CAD modelling experience (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, Creo).
• Active CAD licence required.
• Proficiency in Python and GitHub; English B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents within a CAD workflow.
• Design part geometry and build reference solutions.
• Collaborate with CFD engineers to assess geometry and simulations.
