Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer focused on Cable & Harness Design. The role emphasizes mechanical design, 3D routing, documentation, and lifecycle management of complex harnesses, with strong PTC Creo proficiency and CM workflows.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in cable harness design, knowledge of ASME Y14 and IPC/WHMA-A-620, and may have spaceflight or RF cable exposure. Remote work is available for candidates in the US.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or MS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years in cable and wire harness mechanical design.
• CAD: Proficiency with PTC Creo (Creo Parametric and Creo Cabling).
• CM/PLM: Experience in formal Configuration Management environments.
• Standards: Familiarity with ASME Y14 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical aspects and 3D routing for cable harnesses and interconnect assemblies.
• Document and manage harness designs through lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate with CM/PLM processes and engineering teams to ensure compliance.
