Job summary
Encore Semi, Inc. seeks a Sr Mechanical Engineer specializing in Cable & Harness Design to join our engineering team.
This remote US-wide role focuses on mechanical design, 3D routing, documentation, and lifecycle management of complex wire harnesses and interconnect assemblies. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in cable harness design, strong PTC Creo skills (including Cabling extensions), and solid CM/PLM workflow experience, with familiarity of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and ASME Y14
Qualifications
- Education and 10+ years of direct experience in cable and wire harness mechanical design.
- Proficiency with PTC Creo and Creo Cabling extensions.
- Experience operating within formal CM/PLM environments and standard drafting norms (ASME Y14, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Responsibilities
- Design and route mechanical layouts for cable and harness assemblies in 3D space.
- Document designs and manage lifecycle within CM/PLM workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and support qualification activities.
- Collaborate with electrical, hardware, and manufacturing teams.
