Job summary

Encore Semi, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Cable & Harness Design for 100% remote work anywhere in the US.

You will lead mechanical design of wire harnesses, routing in 3D, documentation, and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in cable and wire harness mechanical design, strong CAD with PTC Creo (Parametric, Cabling), and CM/PLM workflow experience; familiarity with ASME Y14 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience with a direct focus on cable and wire harness mechanical design.
• Hands-on CAD with PTC Creo (Parametric, Cabling extensions).
• Experience operating within a formal Configuration Management / PLM environment
• Familiarity with industry drafting standards (ASME Y14 series) and wiring/harness assembly standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620).

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design, 3D routing, documentation, and lifecycle management of wire harnesses.
• Work within formal CM/PLM workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance and quality.
