Whitley Penn, a leading audit, tax, and advisory firm, seeks a Senior Accounting Associate for its CAAS – Outsourced Accounting team in Austin. You will manage and review client engagements, lead staff, and ensure compliance with standards while leveraging QuickBooks Online and Excel in a fully in-office role.

We value strong bookkeeping, client communication, and mentorship of junior staff; CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA eligibility/license preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage, prepare, and review monthly financial statements.
• Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate client assignments, budgeting, and monitoring expenditures.
• Lead meetings with engagement teams and clients; provide feedback.
• Supervise and train associates; review work for accuracy and disclosures.
