Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented C# Developer II to join our remote software team supporting VA programs. You will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade .NET applications, leveraging MVC, REST APIs, and cloud services. The role emphasizes code quality, mentoring juniors, and collaboration with stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in .NET, strong OOP, and experience with CI/CD, Azure or AWS, and modern development tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with .NET technologies.
• Experience with MVC architecture and .NET Core
• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Entity Framework
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and services
• Experience with version control (Git/TFS)
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Unit testing with NUnit/xUnit/MSTest
• Proficiency with Visual Studio/VS Code
• Ability to mentor junior developers
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Knowledge of security best practices for web apps and APIs

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform requirements gathering, test planning, and system integration.
• Develop backend services and full-stack components using .NET and C#.
• Attend daily stand-ups as an active team member.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy to cloud services.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Provide development support for production solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Document software designs and data flows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements.
