Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a skilled C# Developer to join our remote team. The role focuses on full-stack development with .NET, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based services, contributing to design, testing, and deployment within Agile practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong MVC and OOP skills, and proficiency in Azure/AWS, CI/CD, and modern testing frameworks. Military veterans are encouraged to apply and U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software development experience using .NET technologies.
• Experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core, C#.
• Strong knowledge of MVC architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest).
• Proficient in Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of security best practices for web apps and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, define requirements, test planning and execution for software systems.
• Develop .NET back-end apps with C# and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in daily stand-ups as a team member.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
• Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Document software designs and diagrams.
• Utilize IDEs: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
