Job summary

1X is seeking a Sr. Buyer for structures in San Carlos, CA. You will own sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure supply continuity for structural components. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet aggressive product development and ramp targets.

You will drive cost reductions, mitigate supply risks, and support NEO-scale production with a global supplier network, delivering high-quality parts on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 2–4 years global sourcing, supply chain, or procurement experience.
• Experience supporting suppliers for mechanical or structural components.
• Experience partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing during product development or production.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing strategies for assigned structural commodities.
• Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness.
• Support new product introduction via supplier selection, tooling, and production readiness.
• Identify supply risks and implement cross-functional mitigation plans.
• Drive cost reduction through supplier negotiations and value engineering.
• Build strong supplier partnerships to support production and future development.
