Ultradent Products, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Procurement team. The role focuses on manufacturing purchasing, specifically printed materials and packaging, with an emphasis on ensuring material availability and cost efficiency.

You will manage daily purchasing, leverage Oracle ERP tools, and collaborate with Planning and Category Managers to optimize supply, lead times, and vendor performance. Strong communication and independent work style are essential.

Competenze

• Three+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems to manage PO, delivery, and inventory.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and escalate issues when needed.

Mansioni

• Manage daily purchasing for assigned production materials, including placing purchase orders, confirming supplier commitments, and ensuring materials arrive when needed.
• Use Oracle recommendations and exception reports to buy, expedite, reschedule, or cancel orders based on changing production and inventory requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and other purchasing terms to achieve measurable cost savings and reliable supply.
• Work closely with suppliers, Planning, and Category Managers to support procurement needs.
• Verify that purchase orders reference the correct specifications and revisions, particularly for printed materials and packaging.
• Proactively address shortages, late deliveries, supplier performance concerns, and nonconforming materials.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data with our analyst, including lead times, order quantities, supplier information, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Establish and maintain blanket purchase agreements in coordination with Category Managers.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and receiving issues with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
