Job summary

Ultradent Products, Inc. is seeking a Buyer with print and packaging purchasing experience to join our procurement team in the United States.

The role focuses on managing daily purchasing for production materials, using MRP/ERP systems, and negotiating terms with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate has at least three years of manufacturing purchasing experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining data

Qualifications

• Three years of purchasing experience, including production materials in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using MRP/ERP systems to manage material requirements, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers, resolve delivery issues, and manage competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of inventory management, supplier performance, quotation analysis, and total purchasing cost.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analyzing purchasing and inventory data.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through and written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage an assigned purchasing workload independently and recognize when issues require escalation.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing for assigned production materials, including placing purchase orders and confirming supplier commitments.
• Ensure materials arrive when needed and use Oracle recommendations to buy, expedite, reschedule, or cancel orders.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and other terms to achieve cost savings and reliable supply.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Planning, and Category Managers to support procurement needs.
• Verify purchase orders reference correct specifications and revisions for printed materials and packaging.
• Address shortages, late deliveries, supplier performance concerns, and nonconforming materials.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data with our analyst, including lead times, order quantities, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Establish and maintain blanket purchase agreements in coordination with Category Managers.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and receiving issues with suppliers and Accounts Payable.
