O.C. Tanner is seeking a Buyer II - Materials & Indirect Spend to lead procurement for raw materials, packaging, and MRO, ensuring continuity of supply and cost effectiveness for onsite operations in Salt Lake City.

You will plan inventories, collaborate with product development, manufacturing, planning, receiving, maintenance, and finance to optimize processes and supplier performance, while mentoring junior buyers and driving improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement/sourcing or supply chain experience.
• Experience procuring raw materials, packaging, or MRO items preferred.

Aufgaben

• Owns procurement categories ensuring quality, cost, delivery and supplier performance.
• Plans inventory levels to support manufacturing needs.
• Collaborates with Product Development, Manufacturing, Planning, Receiving, Maintenance, and Finance to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Sources materials and suppliers and supports supplier qualification efforts.
• Manages supplier communication regarding pricing, availability, lead times, specifications and delivery schedules.
• Mentors Associate Buyers and supports team development.
• Participates in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
