Job summary

CoVolt Power, a leading utility-scale EPC company, seeks a Senior Buyer to guide procurement strategy across solar, BESS, and high-voltage assets. Based in Houston on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote), you will manage major packages, negotiate terms, and drive total-cost of ownership improvements.

The role requires 7+ years in procurement for large-scale projects, deep EPC knowledge, and strong ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive procurement experience on large EPC, power, or construction projects.
• Experience leading complex negotiations and long-lead equipment procurement.
• Deep knowledge of EPC procurement schedules and performance implications.
• Strong understanding of commodities, logistics, and total cost of ownership.
• Proficiency with project schedules and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for major projects.
• Lead complex bid packages and commercial negotiations.
• Manage long-lead equipment procurement and review vendor drawings/specs.
• Coordinate hedging, bulk-material sourcing, and cost-reduction efforts.
• Mentor junior Buyers and coach sourcing strategy and risk management.
