Job summary

Office of the State Controller (OSC) staffs the NCFS team and supports the statewide financial system of record, NCFS. The Business Systems Manager leads the materials process area, coordinating with business users and IT to design, document, and optimize system configurations and processes.

The role emphasizes guiding staff, ensuring deliverables are accurate and high-quality, and driving process changes across Accounts Payable, Expense, Procurement, Inventory and Fixed Assets.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of accounting, budgeting and information systems and operations to support NCFS management.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex standards and issues clearly, both in writing and verbally.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of progressive experience, including at least 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Business System Analyst IIIs and IIIs in the NCFS materials process area.
• Guide staff across multiple process areas, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Collaborate with business users, outside consultants, and IT to design and support Oracle Financials Cloud ERP.
