Qualifications

• BS in MIS or CS or related education and related professional work experience.
• 6 1/2 years work experience in IT.
• Most recent 36 months of work experience as a Business System Consultant or equivalent in the last 3 years.
• Demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities.
• High level of proficiency in a business environment within the last 3 years in at least 4 specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level professional and technical support in the development, installation, and maintenance of business systems solutions.
• Assist management in solution development and system activities.
• Act as leader on multiple concurrent initiatives of any size.
• Mentor staff as needed.
• Provide architecture design and leadership.
• Analyze and design solutions by translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Present options, evaluate and recommend solutions.
• Identify unperceived business needs and leverage existing, public, and vendor solutions where appropriate.
• Develop application code according to acceptance criteria.
• Promote continuous improvement and CI/CD with IT and business.
• Guide development of multiple concurrent business systems solutions from conceptualization through stabilization.
• Provide leadership, architectural guidance, and training/mentoring to professional staff in planning, roadmapping, estimating, and quality assurance.
• Provide constructive feedback regarding team member performance.
• Develop, test, implement, document, and maintain business systems solutions across computer platforms.
• Maintain client-specific and business systems knowledge.
• Educate others and collaborate with management, development teams, IT Infrastructure, and clients.
• Enhance and share application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards.
• Acquire, apply, and train others in new technical skills.
• Monitor industry trends and drive technology changes.
• Own and respond to customer requests.
• Perform and guide root cause analysis, impact analysis, problem determination, and problem resolution support.
• Collaborate with business and IT staff throughout problem resolution.
