Job summary

Energy Solutions is seeking a powerhouse Business Systems Analyst II to join our Information Systems Team. You'll translate business needs into clear requirements and help shape platform enhancements while partnering with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams.

In this role you will analyze processes, maintain documentation, support agile delivery, and mentor junior analysts, driving solutions from concept to deployment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, IS, or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a closely related role.
• Experience in Agile development lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
• Experience conducting and supporting UAT efforts, including coordinating with stakeholders to validate requirements against delivered solutions.
• Strong technical analysis skills translating business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills conveying information between non-technical and technical teams.
• Proficiency in writing and managing user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria using Jira or similar Agile tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL or BI tools to analyze data and support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, clarify, and document business needs.
• Partner with domain experts and engineers to design solutions for moderately complex problems.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, workflows, mock-ups, and user stories.
• Maintain epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for clarity and alignment.
• Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning.
• Analyze current product workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate and support UAT activities by developing test cases and validating requirements.
• Track and analyze KPIs to evaluate solution performance and identify improvements.
• Participate in retrospectives and suggest process improvements.
• Contribute to prototyping and proof-of-concept efforts.
• Assist junior analysts by sharing knowledge and supporting skill development.
