Job summary

New York Life, a Fortune 100 mutual company, seeks a Senior Business/Technical Analyst within the Tech Data AI Ventures (TDAV) organization. You will translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and support enterprise-wide initiatives across data, APIs, and system integrations.

This role requires 7+ years of experience, knowledge of life insurance products, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business and/or technical analysis experience.
• Knowledge of life insurance products, processes, and operations.
• Experience with delivery of enterprise-scale projects/initiatives; data mapping and API integrations.
• Strong data mapping and integration skills in multi-tier architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and liaison between business and technology teams, driving alignment on requirements and deliverables across application ecosystems.
• Champion shift-left processes to reduce gaps by coordinating with upstream/downstream teams.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business processes, workflows and requirements using workshops and use cases.
• Translate business needs into clear, testable functional specifications aligned with standards.
• Act as subject matter expert to provide guidance and remove roadblocks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions with data mapping and API considerations.
• Support validation and testing to ensure compliance and technical fit.
• Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions for business and system challenges.
• Support project delivery by tracking milestones and ensuring timely deliverables.
• Contribute to Agile delivery by managing user stories lifecycle in JIRA/Confluence.
