Job summary

Assurity Life Insurance Company seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst in Lincoln, NE. You will own discovery and the analysis practice, shape priorities with business leaders, and mentor analysts and engineers while guiding AI-driven analysis and verification.

You will oversee AI-ready specifications, data mappings, and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with software engineers on overlapping work to ensure trustworthy results.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of business analyst experience, leading cross-system initiatives.
• Experience directing AI agents on substantial analysis and creating working proofs of concept.
• Experience owning multiple business areas and shaping priorities with leaders.
• Experience mentoring analysts and coaching engineers on analysis work.
• Agile development and project management experience, including Scrum; SQL and Mongo; reading API contracts and JSON.
• Ability to read project charters, work summaries, and workflows in Lucid or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, planning, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote team environment and learn diverse technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery and analysis practice across several business areas.
• Lead large, cross-area initiatives and manage scope, cost, and schedule.
• Produce AI-ready specifications with logic, data definitions, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain templates, standards, prompts, and context files.
• Identify recurring AI failure modes and improve controls and safety practices.
