Job Overview

This position will report to the Business Systems Manager and work closely with the Investor Relations Operations team and broader Private and Strategic Investments business units at Bain Capital. The Senior Analyst will play a hands‑on role in Salesforce analysis, development, and support, seeing solutions from inception through production deployment. Leveraging deep Salesforce expertise and a strong understanding of business processes, this role will be responsible for gathering and refining requirements, assessing system impacts, designing end‑to‑end solutions, and driving enhancements that optimize the IR technology platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own BAU (business‑as‑usual) enhancement requests for the Investor Relations Operations team: requirements gathering, system impact assessment, change management analysis, solution design collaboration with the lead developer, validation, and post‑deployment support.
  • Build strong relationships with IR Operations stakeholders to facilitate application support and drive the design and implementation of new features and system improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and technical debt reduction, and drive resolutions with the development team.
  • Identify and champion self‑service enhancement opportunities for business stakeholders (case deflection), such as introducing tools that enable business users to perform routine tasks like merging records independently.
  • Assist the Apps Support team in triaging and resolving Salesforce production issues using debug logs, query editors, and root‑cause analysis techniques.
  • Drive user acceptance testing, training, and documentation efforts to enhance adoption and maximize business value from Salesforce solutions.
  • Own and continuously refine documentation processes to improve efficiency and maintain clear, actionable records for technology requests and change management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions leveraging Salesforce Reports and enterprise reporting tools.
  • Present solution designs, requirements, and project updates to business stakeholders; lead requirements gathering sessions with confidence and clarity.
  • Stretch Goal – Own BAU enhancements for Coverage Officers, expanding scope of business stakeholder support beyond IR Operations.
Technology Experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience, with a strong background in Salesforce development and/or administration.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce configuration, data structures, workflows, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Apex, etc.).
  • Ability to design end‑to‑end solutions in Salesforce and provide recommendations aligned with leading practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting production issues using debug logs, query editors, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of general product/software development lifecycle practices, including requirements documentation, testing, and release management.
  • Experience with business process optimization and change management analysis.
  • Experience working with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs.
  • Experience designing and delivering CRM‑based reporting and analytics solutions using tools such as Salesforce Reports, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Prior experience with iPaaS applications such as Workato, Mulesoft, Zapier, or Boomi is a plus.
  • Familiarity with API‑driven solutions using RESTful APIs and tools such as Postman is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI tools and technologies with practical use cases for business process automation or data analysis is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems, Salesforce development/administration, or software implementation, preferably within financial services or alternative investments.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer‑facing skills, with the ability to present product features, requirements, and technology solutions to business teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Investor Relations technology and alternative investment platforms, such as CRMs, deal pipelines, fundraising technology, and LP onboarding systems, is a plus.
