Description

This position will be working within Bain Capital’s Investor Relations Technology team, which supports global fundraising, investor relations, and limited partner servicing functions across the firm’s Private Equity, Growth & Venture, Capital Solutions, Credit, and Real Assets strategies. This role will work on systems and projects focused on supporting the needs of the global Investor Relations business. Leveraging both your business and technical knowledge, this individual will lead a team of onshore analysts and offshore developers, QA engineers, and architects, working closely with IR business stakeholders, vendors, application developers, and QA specialists to provide solutions supporting our technology platforms—including Salesforce CRM, Snowflake, Affinity, and AI/automation tools—for fundraising, LP servicing, and investor reporting operations. This will include driving IR‑mandated projects—such as CRM‑to‑fund‑accounting integrations, relationship intelligence tools, and AI‑enabled workflow automation—as well as participating at various levels in other technology‑related initiatives, from strategic approach conception to new system development/integration to post‑implementation support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a sense of ownership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of investor relations and fundraising‑focused systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to use their knowledge to really make an impact across a wide spectrum of investor‑facing functions, and to gain exposure to key business leaders in a world class organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis & Delivery: Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and testing of solutions supporting global fundraising and investor relations business needs. Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system functionality. Oversee applications supporting the IR business, including Salesforce CRM, data lake analytics, deal CRM, fund closing and LP reporting workflows.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Partner with Fundraising, Client Relations, Legal, and Finance teams to align technology solutions with business goals. Compile and communicate release notes, roadmaps, and project updates for stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor, balancing business priorities with IT objectives.
  • Team & Vendor Management: Lead a team of onshore analysts and offshore developers, QA engineers, and architects; manage application support vendors and third‑party system providers supporting IR technology. Ensure vendor solutions align with Bain Capital’s technology standards and business needs. Oversee software release cycles, own the team’s annual budget planning and vendor contract negotiations, and coordinate delivery across internal and external teams.
  • Continuous Improvement & Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on investor relations, fundraising, and LP servicing processes. Lead development of new integrations (e.g., Salesforce‑to‑fund‑accounting platforms) and upgrades to existing platforms. Advocate best practices in systems analysis, product management, project governance, and responsible AI adoption.
Qualifications

  • Prior experience in evaluation, implementation, product management and support of solutions supporting investor lifecycle is a must.
  • Experience with solutions supporting CRM, DDQ, email Marketing, Investor Onboarding, Ticketing, LP Portal, and Reporting & analytics is strongly preferred.
