Job summary

Citizens is seeking an experienced Business Resilience Liaison to manage a portfolio of business continuity plans for a line of business within Enterprise Resilience. You will act as SME, guiding cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory alignment and robust recovery capabilities.

The role requires deep expertise in operational resilience, crisis and incident management, and disaster recovery, with strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Business Continuity Planning for a corporate program.
• Banking knowledge is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Operational Resilience, Crisis & Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery.
• Understanding of both business and technology resilience concepts.
• Experience with Archer/GRC, ServiceNow and Everbridge systems a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive deliverables.
• Ability to advise business units as SME for business resilience and ask the right questions to understand needs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, implementation, and enhancement of the Operational Resilience program by managing a portfolio of BCPs for a line of business.
• Strengthen the organization’s resilience framework to ensure Critical Business Services can withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruptions.
• Serve as SME for business resilience and provide guidance across business units, aligning with regulatory expectations.
• Facilitate impact tolerance setting, scenario testing, mapping of critical services, and supporting assets across units.
• Complete BIAs with in-business continuity coordinators to ensure business criticality aligns with RTO/RPO.
• Develop BCPs by understanding objectives and documenting strategies and workarounds.
• Coordinate and facilitate all BCP activities and ensure adherence to policy and compliance.
• Organize resilience testing for BCPs and CBSs per policy.
• Coordinate requirements for technology and facilities to ensure recovery resources are in place.
• Partner with teams to foster a culture of resilience and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain documentation and evidence for audits, regulatory reviews, and governance.
