Job summary

Wellmark is seeking a Team Leader, Business Continuity to lead strategy, planning, testing and execution of enterprise continuity programs across the organization. You will map dependencies, assess risks, and drive resilience in processes and technology while partnering with stakeholders at all levels.

The ideal candidate brings leadership, risk management, and strong communication skills, with experience managing complex initiatives and ensuring on-call coverage for security incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct and applicable work experience.
• 4+ years of experience administrating business continuity programs, with workforce and workplace resiliency focus; experience with risk management to identify and analyze risk and mitigate it.
• Exceptional business knowledge and perspective to understand complex information and develop recommendations.
• High level of attention to detail and organization skills, completing tasks accurately to achieve goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; builds and maintains relationships with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership skills demonstrated through project or informal leadership; ability to coach and mentor others and lead teams through change.
• Ability to manage and deliver large-scale, complex projects with quality, time and budget in mind.
• Must be available 24/7 to respond to security and emergency situations.
• Valid driver’s license. Travel 10-20% with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and day-to-day management of financial and human resources for staff and department functions.
• Ensure policies and programs are executed within corporate guidelines and culture to support the workforce.
• Serve as SME for business continuity functions, systems and procedures, including Fusion and Everbridge.
• Collaborate with Privacy and Compliance Offices to support related policies and procedures.
• Develop and provide training modules for plan owners, maintainers and coordinators.
• Coordinate Enterprise Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams with locations to ensure proper response resources.
• Ensure annual Business Continuity functions, BIAs and routine plan maintenance are completed on schedule.
• Develop and implement Business Continuity/Crisis exercises to test plans.
• Lead alignment across IS and Risk Management to standardize processes.
• Ensure plans are tested annually or when significant changes occur.
• Other duties as assigned.
