Job summary

Block is seeking a seasoned Business Resilience professional to lead and mature our resilience program across business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management. You will translate resilience requirements into clear actions, drive testing and governance, and enhance reporting and automation across global regions.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in resilience programs within regulated tech or financial services, strong governance experience, and comfort with AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience operating or improving global resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, or related risk programs.
• Strong knowledge of impact analysis, dependency mapping, recovery strategies, testing, remediation, and governance with regulatory expectations.
• Strong project management, organizational, and partnership skills with cross-functional follow-through.
• Excellent communication and analytical judgment translating risks into practical actions for diverse audiences.
• Comfort using AI, automation, data analysis, and reporting tools; ability to learn new platforms.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., DRI International or BCI) or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify resilience risks across critical services, business functions, technology, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain current, testable business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management plans.
• Coordinate resilience exercises and recovery tests, report findings, and track remediation.
• Assess third-party continuity and recovery capabilities, identify gaps, and support remediation.
• Communicate resilience posture, open risks, and decisions to governance forums, senior leaders, and Boards; support audits and RFPs.
• Partner with regional entities (UK, EU, Canada) to align global practices with local requirements.
• Improve resilience workflows through AI, automation, dashboards, templates, and self-service tools.
