About the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer at Headspace:

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help build a world-class reporting infrastructure. This role involves developing efficient, reliable, and scalable BI tools and systems. The short-term focus will be on building a dynamic single source of truth for business performance reports to enable self-service and faster data-driven decision-making. Long-term projects include end-to-end architecture of data warehouse solutions, data democratization, and more. The ideal candidate is technically savvy and an innovative thinker, who enjoys using the latest big data technologies to solve complex business problems.

US-remote job location:

We are currently recruiting remotely in the United States for this role. Candidates must permanently reside in the US full-time.

What you will do:

• Gather business requirements and propose technical solutions and prototypes to answer business questions and foster self-service via your solutions.
• Experience with event-level data to create aggregated data tables for analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Mental Health Care and/or Marketplace Operations metrics (completed appointment rate, cancellation rate, time to earliest offered appointments, etc.).
• Exposure to BI platform migration processes and strategies.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to triage and optimize data reporting ETL, designing and building long-term implementations.
• Work with cross-functional leads to build comprehensive reporting suites that enable analysts and business users to make quick decisions.
• Perform report showcase/roadshow to evangelize reporting utility and influence stakeholders.
• Identify areas for improvement within data modeling, documentation, and reporting development processes.
• Willingness to learn and implement best-in-class technologies and BI solutions, establishing best practices for the team.

What you will bring:

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in SQL, Tableau, Looker development.
• 7+ years in data modeling, ETL development, data warehousing, and visual report development.
• 7+ years working in collaborative analytics environments.
• 7+ years working with big data technologies (Redshift, S3, Databricks, Datalakes, DBT, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with DBT data modeling in production.
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and storage principles.
• Strong presentation skills for senior leadership.
• Proven project management experience leading large projects.
• Experience mentoring junior team members with clear technical guidance.

Preferred Skills:

The anticipated salary range for this full-time position is $122,400-$195,500 plus equity and benefits. Salary offers are based on location, experience, skills, and education. Your recruiter will provide specific details during the hiring process.
