Job Description:
A Business Intelligence (BI) IT Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and systems that enable data analysis and reporting. This includes creating data models, ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility for stakeholders.

Work Location: Remote

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Work Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range of $100,000-$135,000, performance bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake.
  • Design and optimize data models and warehousing solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Create and maintain data workflows, ensuring high-quality data delivery.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, stakeholders, and engineering teams on BI solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for timely and accurate data availability.
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing.
  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Optimize Snowflake resources for cost-effective performance.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for decision-making support.
  • Document technical solutions and provide user training/support.

This role is open to individuals authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years in business intelligence, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and Databricks is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Rest APIs and SQL Server is advantageous.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Change Management processes.
  • Experience in the Distribution Industry is preferred.
