THE ROLE

As a Senior BI Engineer, you’ll design and build data products that make complex healthcare data easy to understand and act on. You’ll create clean data pipelines, intuitive data models, and insightful visualizations—turning raw data into user-friendly tools. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify user needs and deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
• Design flexible and reusable data models for healthcare analytics.
• Write complex, high-performance SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations that drive business insights.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements.
• Translate real-world healthcare problems into analytical tools and reports.
• Ensure data accuracy through validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Recommend improvements based on analysis of existing data.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of experience in data analysis or engineering roles.
• 3+ years building BI tools in a healthcare setting.
• Advanced SQL expertise and strong data modeling skills.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Skilled at working through ambiguity and messy data.
• Strong communication skills and user-focused mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with large, diverse datasets.
• Beginner to intermediate Python skills.
• Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Exposure to public sector healthcare, program integrity, or service quality.
