About the Role

As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, your primary tasks will include working with stakeholders to understand and accomplish their data needs. Specifically, we are seeking a BI Engineer to partner with our leadership on our Sales vertical to deliver data-driven decision making. What You'll Do:

1. Deep dive into data to understand its meaning and peculiarities.
2. Communicate effectively at both technical and business levels, ensuring business definitions are documented.
3. Propose recommendations and ideas for data utilization beyond initial requirements.
4. Utilize our BI tech stack (Looker and Snowflake) to deliver business value.
5. Develop business modeling layers in Looker and build dashboards.
6. Automate data extractions.
7. Refine and curate data through ETL processes.

What we look for:

• 3+ years of experience with Looker as a visualization tool.
• Strong SQL skills and data wrangling experience.
• Preferred knowledge of building data models in LookML.
• Ability to analyze data for decision-making, anomalies, and patterns.
• Experience mapping data structures from source systems to curated datasets and managing medium-complexity ETL.
• Drive data governance, ensuring stakeholder alignment and documentation.
• Build BI layers with KPIs to measure business performance.
• Create reports and train others in BI report development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Simplify technical jargon for business audiences.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with Github or similar tools for code management.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The base annual salary range is $110,000—$140,000 USD. This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus.
