Summary

We seek a skilled Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SSRS reports, Power BI dashboards, and SQL Server queries to support data-driven decision-making. The role requires expertise in SQL Server development, performance optimization, and data visualization to enhance reporting and analytics. The candidate should be flexible, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced third-party logistics environment. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work across organizational levels are essential. A passion for developing application software and helping users maximize WMS data use is also required. Patience, innovation, and persistence are key to overcoming resistance to change. Continuous documentation, support, and feedback collection are also part of the role. The candidate must be confident in challenging legacy processes and promoting BI best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• SSRS Reports Development: Design, develop, and maintain reports; optimize for performance; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Power BI Dashboard Development: Create interactive dashboards; implement data modeling and DAX; ensure data accuracy and security.
• SQL Server Development & Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries; perform performance tuning; conduct indexing strategies.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze data for trends; develop ad-hoc reports; ensure data integrity.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Support data initiatives; document processes; train users; mentor team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in BI development, SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI.
• Expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization.
• Experience with SSRS and Power BI.
• Knowledge of ETL and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Skills

• Fluency in Spanish.

Pay Range

$130,000 - $145,000. The salary may be adjusted based on market conditions and other factors. Final salary will be discussed with the candidate in accordance with laws.
