Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP, a leading full-service litigation and business law firm with nationwide offices, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead business development and marketing strategy across multiple units. The role may be remote or based in any firm location, and requires guiding the BD team to deliver differentiation and growth.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years in BD/marketing in professional services, strong leadership, a track record of building client

Qualifications

4-year degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
10+ years of progressive marketing and business development experience, ideally in professional services.
5+ years of management experience with manager-level professionals.
Proven BD plans across multi-group portfolios with measurable results.
Strong BD skills: planning, organization, delegation, negotiation; budget tracking and ROI analysis.
Ability to motivate attorneys to engage in BD and execute plans across practice groups.
Creative, proactive, and accountable, with deadlines met.
Excellent written and oral communication; experience writing proposals and client presentations.
Executive presence appropriate for interacting with leadership and clients.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM/experience management tools.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of business units and oversee BD support.
Ensure successful execution of BD and marketing initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Leverage knowledge of key clients and markets to shape growth strategies.
Translate client and market intelligence into prioritized BD initiatives for leadership.
Introduce differentiated BD approaches and scale best practices.
Set direction for thought leadership and client programming across groups.
Drive pipeline development and opportunity management.
Maintain best practices, tools, and processes for efficient BD.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership.
Mentor team members and promote a high-value service mindset.
