Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a seasoned Commercial Banking professional in Massachusetts to build and manage a diverse customer portfolio. You will source COIs, cross-sell bank products, and collaborate with branches to seize opportunities across C&I and CRE lending.

The role requires 5–8 years in sales and banking, strong communication skills, and the ability to attend after-hours events. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, with proficient relationship management and credit insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience required.
• Five-to-eight years of sales and management experience.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of credit with some prior credit training and sales training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively.
• Able to attend networking and other events outside of customary business hours; self-starter and able to generate sales prospects.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of customers, prospects and Centers of Influence (COIs) through networking and other business development efforts.
• Sell bank products to new and existing customers.
• Partner with assigned branches for cross-sale opportunities and customer relationship management.
• Manage relationships with key Community Partners to leverage programs and resources for business growth.
• Source, evaluate and recommend new BB banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships (C&I and CRE).
• Manage a portfolio of BB clients to minimize risk, cross-sell, and ensure positive customer experiences.
• Coordinate calling and relationship management with multiple internal partners (commercial, investments, treasury, retail, insurance).
• Conduct preliminary underwriting and structure of credit requests.
• Maintain internal Bank contact management system with full history.
