Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York, NY seeks a Senior Business Banking Consultant to drive development in underserved communities. You’ll lead outreach, cultivate networks with nonprofits and CDFIs, and provide tailored financial solutions to assist small businesses in economic opportunity areas.

You will collaborate with Chase branches and affiliates to deliver comprehensive advice, navigate credit and risk, and help clients grow their businesses while strengthening community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business banking relationship management role or related business / commercial lending experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong relationship management skills; demonstrate strong tactical business development and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet client needs; monitors and researches market/industry trends and business outcomes to anticipate client needs and present proactive solutions.
• Able to identify opportunities, issues, and viable alternatives, while managing risk, when traditional solutions do not apply.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships, and utilize networks and local centers of influence to identify and support underserved entrepreneurs.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with Community Development Financial Institutions, Non-Profits, and other community organizations, leveraging JPMorgan Chase Foundation resources.
• Maintain current business network and engage with Chambers of Commerce and non-profit boards; leverage knowledge of diverse businesses and markets to develop networks and prospects.
• Provide best-in-class client advice and service, and develop relationships to ensure a seamless client experience across Chase; collaborate with Branches, Home Lending, Chase Wealth Management, and Merchant and Card Services.
• Deliver comprehensive, customized business banking solutions tailored to client needs using knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit and risk management.
• Build internal and external relationships to develop the business network and ensure a seamless client experience.
• Identify personal financial goals of business clients; connect clients with specialists across lines of business to meet needs.
