Job summary

Huntington is seeking a Senior Business Banking Closing Specialist to coordinate the loan closing process with Relationship Managers, borrowers, sellers, attorneys, brokers, and other stakeholders. The role focuses on due diligence, compliance, and timely closing within a 30-45 day SLA.

The position requires 3+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Understanding of industry, lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates interaction between parties within a loan closing SLA of 30-45 days.
• Assists colleagues with difficult situations or customers.
• Prepares loan commitment letters and application documents.
• Responsible for initial compliance and preparing the loan commitment package.
• Reviews others' commitment letters for accuracy.
• Orders third party reports and distributes to correct parties.
• Subject matter expert in the lending process.
• Engages with customers daily to discuss and mentor borrowers through lending nuances.
• Coordinates with all parties to establish closing date; schedules closing and distributes docs.
• Mentors less experienced Loan Specialists.
