Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Business Banking Closing Specialist in Columbus to provide administrative support to the Sales Team and coordinate the closing of Business Banking loans. You will obtain collateral reports and ensure compliance with credit approvals, while guiding the process with internal partners and external vendors to close loans efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of loan processing/closing experience and/or real estate loan/Title company experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate term sheets/commitment letters and communicate with customers.
• Order 3rd party reports and title work and track expenses and fees.
• Engage legal counsel for trusts, deed restrictions, and unique language.
• Collect items to clear conditions to close and drive deals toward closing.
• Provide administrative support for the Business Banking Sales Team and day-to-day client interaction.
• Coordinate the closing of Business Banking loans with Sales, Credit, Loan Servicing, and vendors.
• Process loans in preparation for closing within service levels.
• Obtain collateral reports and information for credit approval; work with various collateral types.
• Assist in providing exemplary service to Huntington lending customers.
• Coordinate the closing date with customers and markets; manage pipeline.
• Assist with monthly maturities and collateral exceptions resolution.
• Ensure proper loan and collateral documentation per laws and procedures.
