Job summary

Heartland Technology Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with customers, analyze business needs, and translate them into effective IT solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external technical staff, perform QA activities, coordinate training and implementation, and may take on project management duties across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience performing software analysis and requirements gathering.
• 6+ years of experience implementing both custom and off-the-shelf business systems.
• 6+ years of experience in User Experience and Usability.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics or Business Administration.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Project.
• Strong soft skills that demonstrate leadership and emotional intelligence for managing difficult conversations, conflict management, problem solving, and managing complex teams.
• Strong project management with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively meet with customers to understand their business needs and project goals.
• Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design.
• Gather business requirements, conduct needs assessments and develop functional specifications to ensure IT solutions support objectives.
• Lead test strategy including developing test plans and training materials for customers and project teams.
• Coordinate and lead project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Travel up to 25% of time as needed.
