Heartland Business Systems in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technology across multiple projects. You will gather requirements, design processes, and coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver IT solutions that meet objectives.

Key duties include leading scope, proposals, and resource coordination, plus creating SOWs, BRDs, user stories, and test plans. Expect travel up to 25% and a strong emphasis on customer experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience performing software analysis and requirements gathering.
• 6+ years of experience implementing both custom and off-the-shelf business systems.
• 6+ years of experience in User Experience and Usability.
• Bachelor’s Degree as listed or equivalent experience.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Project.
• Strong soft skills demonstrating leadership, emotional intelligence, and conflict management.
• Strong project management ability to manage multiple tasks and teams.
• Maintain an outcome-focused mindset and strong prioritization skills.
• Team player with professional attitude and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Proactively meet with customers to understand their business needs and project goals.
• Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems analysis.
• Gather business requirements, develop functional specs to ensure IT solutions support objectives.
• Lead customers through requirements using decomposition, prototyping, and state mapping.
• Create documentation such as statements of work, BRDs, user stories, flow diagrams, and project plans.
• Communicate requirements to development teams via specifications and user stories.
• Lead test strategy with test plans, test cases, and test execution; train customers and teams.
• Manage multiple projects, timelines, resources, and budgets; presales involvement.
• Coordinate project teams and monitor progress toward on-time, on-budget delivery.
