Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is recruiting a Senior Business Analyst for a remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. The candidate will lead requirements capture, collaborate with IT and leadership, and manage requirements in ALM tools while applying SAFe/Agile practices.

The ideal professional has extensive experience in software development, strong communication skills, and proficiency with JIRA.

Qualifications

Requires strong background in software development and SAFe methodologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities; capable of independent research.
Experience with MS Office, especially Excel; strong analytical abilities.
Proven experience with JIRA and large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
Document requirements in an ALM tool and manage them throughout the lifecycle.
Perform Agile requirement management and backlog refinement sessions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
Maintain traceability among requirements, tests, and risks; deliver project docs to the client.
