Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Business Analyst to support the Veterans Affairs department in a fully remote role. You will lead requirements capture for software development teams, collaborate with business users and IT, and manage requirements within an ALM tool (JIRA) across SAFe frameworks.

The position requires strong communication, extensive experience in Agile environments, and a security clearance at Public Trust level. US citizenship is required; remote work is nationwide.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software development and SAFe/Scaled Agile Frameworks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience conducting independent research to support complex questions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical skills integrating information from multiple sources.
• Experience in large, Agile software development or data integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capture of business requirements for software development teams.
• Collaborate with business users, IT, and leadership to elaborate and document requirements in an ALM tool.
• Manage requirements in an ALM tool and perform Agile requirement management for a product team.
• Analyze user needs to determine functional, cross-functional, and technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate sessions, and develop business process models and specifications.
• Gather and document business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements from stakeholders.
