Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Annuity Rate Setting team in the Consumer Markets Division. The role involves process ownership, team operations, and documentation across multiple partners, with on-site 4 days per week and one remote day in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Charlotte, NC.

The ideal candidate will have a quantitative background, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, analytics, financial services, operations, or related area.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across stakeholder groups.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve several of the team's core processes, including rate setting, renewal rate submissions, and return reporting.
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Facilitate discussions, drive follow-through on decisions and actions, and maintain accountability across teams.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, strengthen, and scale how we work.
• Develop reporting and metrics to provide visibility into important work.
• Build strong relationships across stakeholder groups to align on priorities and commitments.
• Maintain documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources.
• Support onboarding and knowledge transfer activities.
• Promote consistency and good documentation practices.
• Help maintain and improve key business tools and reporting processes.
• Partner with analytics, reporting, automation, and process-improvement teams.
