Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Annuity Rate Setting team in the Consumer Markets Division. The role involves process ownership, team operations, and documentation across multiple partners, with on-site 4 days per week and one remote day in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Annuity Rate Setting team within our Consumer Markets Division’s Product Development department. This role is on-site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Newport Beach, CA,Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC.

We're a small team that supports product competitiveness, rate recommendations, performance monitoring, and the business processes that help those activities run smoothly. We work with actuarial, finance, sales, investment, operations, and technology partners to help the business make informed decisions and execute effectively.

This role is a mix of process ownership, business analysis, coordination, and problem solving. You'll take ownership of several important team processes, help improve how we operate, support key business tools and capabilities, and work alongside highly analytical teammates who care deeply about getting things right.

The ideal candidate is organized, curious, dependable, and comfortable working in a quantitative environment. You should be willing to learn new concepts quickly, dig into details, and ask questions when something doesn't make sense.

How you’ll help move us forward

Process Ownership

• Develop sufficient expertise to provide backup support for critical team capabilities and business tools.

The experience you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

• 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, analytics, financial services, operations, or a related area.
