Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions within the IT department. You will own requirements, lead discovery sessions, and drive quality assurance while mentoring junior analysts.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define future-state processes, author precise requirements, and guide testing strategies, including UAT and regression suites, to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of experience in business analysis or a related role with demonstrated ownership of a business domain.
• Proven ability to lead discovery efforts on undefined business problems and produce well-supported recommendations.
• Experience authoring clear, concise, and testable requirements suitable for development teams with minimal clarification.
• Demonstrated success leading User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders and validating delivered functionality.
• Experience mentoring analysts and reviewing requirement and test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the requirements relationship with business stakeholders for assigned domains, ensuring clarity and alignment.
• Lead discovery sessions through interviews, workshops, observation, and data analysis to identify core business problems and opportunities.
• Analyze requests to uncover underlying issues, presenting viable solution options and defining future-state processes with operational impact considerations.
• Author precise, testable requirements and acceptance criteria, and define comprehensive test strategies including scope, regression, and validation plans.
• Design, execute, and coordinate testing activities such as functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Lead backlog refinement, participate in sprint planning, and represent business requirements during technical discussions and trade-off analyses.
• Mentor junior and mid-level analysts through review, feedback, and knowledge sharing, while contributing to team standards and documentation.
