Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst Consultant to join a well-established management consultancy based in East London, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on bridging business needs with technology solutions, eliciting requirements, analyzing processes, and documenting functional specifications for complex IT initiatives.

You will lead requirements workshops, model business processes, and collaborate with developers, PMs, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IS/CS/BA or related field.
• 4–6 years of business analysis experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Proven requirements gathering and documentation skills (BABOK).
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Model and analyze business processes to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams, PMs, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and validate solutions.
• Develop use cases, user stories, and process flows for system functionality.
• Support UAT and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
• Provide guidance to junior business analysts.
