Placements24 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid role in Randburg. You will bridge business needs with technology solutions, eliciting and documenting requirements for complex IT projects and validating outcomes to deliver business value.

The role demands strong analytical and communication skills, with experience across SDLC methodologies and stakeholder management. You will mentor peers and contribute to architectural documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years as a Business Analyst in financial services or IT.
• Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency with business process modeling/diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for IT projects using interviews, workshops, surveys, and use cases.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and technical designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and development teams through the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate requirement review sessions and obtain stakeholder sign-offs.
• Analyze current business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in developing test cases and support UAT.
• Identify and document risks and issues related to requirements and design.
• Provide support during implementation and post-go-live.
• Contribute to business architecture documentation and best practices.
• Mentor junior business analysts and share knowledge.
