Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support merchandising technology initiatives focused on Product Information Management, SKU lifecycle, and vendor onboarding. This role partners with business stakeholders, IT, and vendors to improve product data creation, maintenance, and integration across systems.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in business analysis, strong API/integration experience, and a track record in retail/merchandising tech.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience, including leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience gathering and documenting business & functional requirements.
• Hands-on with process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping.
• Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, data validation, and data flows.
• Experience in Agile environments using Jira or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support enhancements to PIM systems, SKU setup, and vendor onboarding workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and integration teams to improve data flows across enterprise apps.
• Define requirements for system integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and data validation.
• Manage enhancements, defects, and requirements through Jira in an Agile environment.
• Support UAT, business validation, and defect resolution.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve data quality.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to leadership.

Senior Business Analyst – Merchandising Technology

Location: Nashville, TN (Brentwood area)

Position Type: Contract through end of 2027

Location: Hybrid, 3 days on-site

Pay Rate: $50-60/hr on W2

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale technology initiatives focused on Product Information Management (PIM), SKU lifecycle management, and vendor onboarding.

This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and technical resources to improve how product information is created, maintained, and integrated across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in business analysis, system integrations, and process improvement, with experience in retail, merchandising technology, or product data management being highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, identify process gaps, and define business needs.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings.
• Support enhancements to Product Information Management (PIM) systems, SKU setup processes, and vendor onboarding workflows.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and integration teams to improve data flows across enterprise applications.
• Define requirements for system integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and product data validation.
• Manage enhancements, defects, and requirements through Jira in an Agile environment.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), business validation, and defect resolution.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and reduce manual workflows.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and technical dependencies to business and IT leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience, including 3+ years leading requirements for complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Hands-on experience with process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping.
• Solid understanding of APIs, system integrations, data validation, and upstream/downstream data flows.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira or similar tools.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting retail, merchandising, or supply chain technology initiatives.
• Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), SKU lifecycle management, or vendor onboarding.
• Experience with SAP or product content platforms such as Salsify, Syndigo, or InRiver.
• Understanding of Vendor APIs, EDI integrations, and digital asset management.
• Experience supporting enterprise modernization, workflow automation, or product data quality initiatives.
