Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an IT Business Analyst to work onsite in Nashville, TN. You will define customer needs in both technical and business contexts and guide cross-functional teams to develop systems that meet business objectives.

The role requires 4 years of IT BA experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and certification opportunities (CSPO, A-CSPO, PMI-ACP, CSP-PO). Conversion to permanent may follow contract-to-hire arrangements.

Responsibilities

Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensures the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort. Provides guidance with planning and prioritization of business support-related activities.

• 30% Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.
• 25% Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems that support the business solution.
• 10% Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the direction of the business units to others who support them.
• 10% Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities.
• 10% Provide input on the business direction for system changes.
• 10% Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
• 5% Assist in the development and documentation of training materials. Mentor or train less experienced staff.

• Demonstrated IT Business Analysis experience within the Healthcare domain, with a preference for Medicare and/or Medicaid systems.
• Experience supporting or integrating Automated Processing Systems (API).
• Familiarity with AWS and/or cloud-based platforms and services.
• Experience with Electronic Data Systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solutions.
• Exposure to AI tools or solutions, particularly in process automation, analytics, or decision support.
• Candidate must be one of the following active certifications: CSPO, A-CSPO, PMI-ACP, CSP-PO.
• Demonstrated understanding of concepts of the supported business unit.

Required Software and Other Tools

• Microsoft Office.
• Visio, MS Project or similar software, data mining using DB2, SQL, and/or other tools.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Conceptual understanding of project management techniques.

Location and Schedule

Role is 100% onsite in Nashville, TN at 26 Century Blvd., Ste. ST610 Nashville, TN 37214-3685. (40 hours/week, 8 hours/day) Monday – Friday.

Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or 4 years of job‑related work experience, or 2 years of job‑related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related degree.

Required Work Experience: 4 years of IT business analysis experience.

Salary and Employment Type

Conversion Salary: ***k - 85k (depending on active certifications / experience).

Contract to Hire.
