Job summary

JLL in Rio Rancho, NM seeks a Mechanical Technician to run the preventative maintenance program for HVAC, life safety equipment and building controls. You will perform daily inspections, repairs and documentation while coordinating with contractors and maintaining tenant relations.

Hands-on work with HVAC systems, electrical gear and CMMS is required; evenings and weekends may be needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience with HVAC control systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and work safely at heights.
• Proven capacity to meet deadlines and resolve building issues quickly.
• Excellent communication and tenant-relations skills.
• Strong organization with multi-tasking ability.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of mechanical and electrical systems and perform maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality standards.
• Record readings and maintain documentation of system performance.
• Maintain life-safety equipment and ensure compliance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building system issues to minimize tenant disruption.
• Maintain positive tenant relations through professional communication.
• Work with hand tools and at heights as required.
• Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
