Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, odor control and fire protection for water and wastewater facilities in the Henderson, NV area. You will prepare drawings and specifications, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support field construction activities.

You will bring a PE license, 10+ years of design-build experience, and strong problem-solving, data analysis, and mentorship abilities to a fast-paced environment with hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in producing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs for design-build projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Motivation, data analysis skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, odor control, fire protection) for water/wastewater facilities.
• Prepare drawings and specifications, assist with permits and plan checks.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and vendors; attend meetings with clients.
• Support field staff during construction and mentor junior staff.
