Job summary

SOCOTEC Global in California is expanding its Building Envelope services in the Bay Area and seeks an experienced project lead. You will oversee full envelope projects from below grade to roof, manage scope and budget, and coordinate with clients, PMs, design consultants, and contractors to drive successful outcomes.

The role requires CA-licensed Architect or Professional Engineer status, 5–10 years in building envelope project work, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor field

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of building envelope project experience.
• CA Architect or Professional Engineer license required.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead building envelope projects in CA Bay Area, including below grade, exterior wall and roof work.
• Manage project scope, budget tracking, and client communications.
• Lead meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders (contractors, consultants, owners).
• Review reports and drawings, and support site reporting and documentation.
• Mentor field services staff and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Support billing, resource planning and status updates to leadership.
