Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Building Envelope - Senior Associate (licensed engineer or architect) to join our California team in the Bay Area. This senior role focuses on envelope design, quality control, and client coordination for new and existing buildings.

You will report to regional leadership and collaborate across disciplines. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of envelope project experience, a CA PE or Architect license, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of building envelope project experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering required (Master’s preferred).
• CA registration as Architect or Professional Engineer is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead envelope projects for below grade, exterior wall, and roof work in CA.
• Manage budgets, scopes, and schedules with Project Managers.
• Prepare reports and drawings to support envelope analysis and reporting.
• Mentor field services team and assist in new proposals and client communications.
• Ensure adherence to California building codes and industry standards.
