Job summary

Action Property Management, The Infinity, San Francisco, seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the building's systems and operations. The role covers preventative maintenance, emergency response, project coordination, and staff oversight, with competitive pay and on-call duties.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of high-rise engineering experience, strong HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and relevant safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in residential or commercial high-rise building engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Building Code.
• Ability to lead a maintenance crew and manage projects.
• Experience using BuildingLink, HIPPO, and Building Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate repairs.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement solutions.
• Assist with projects and renovations.
• Manage vendor contracts and performance.
• Ensure safety regulations and building codes compliance.
• Prepare reports and maintain work orders in BuildingLink.
• Supervise maintenance staff and provide training.
• Promote resident satisfaction and address concerns.
