Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a Building Engineer II to independently operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and BAS, ensuring tenant comfort and energy efficiency.

The role collaborates with vendors, supports capital improvement projects, and maintains safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable facility operations, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and support maintenance programs.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems.
Experience troubleshooting complex building systems with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Independently operate, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Operate and maintain boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, and distribution equipment.
Monitor BAS/BMS to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and document work orders in CMMS.
Coordinate with vendors/contractors and support capital projects.
